The Decker Building at 33 Union Square.The Decker Building was home to Andy Warhol’s second Factory.

Andy Warhol moved his Factory from E47th Street to the Decker Building at 33 Union Square in 1967. It was here that Warhol was famously shot by Valerie Solanas on June 3, 1968. Located on the sixth floor, the Decker served as Andy Warhol‘s Factory until 1973 when a new Factory was set up at nearby 860 Broadway. The Decker’s architect was noted anarchist John H. Edelmann.
