Most visitors to New York City who want to go for a skate tend to the more popular destinations. They are willing to brave the hours plus lineups at Bryant Park for a free skate, or the equally long and expensive waits at Rockefeller Center and Central Park’s other rink. Those who have better things to do with their time in New York than wait in a line will make a bee-line to the northern part of Central Park and the twin ice-sheets at the Lasker Ice Skating Rink.
