Barack Obama resided at 142 W109th Street while attending Columbia.

On the occasion of the founding of Columbia University on January 4, 1754 — then known as Kings College — we recognize the New York City digs of one of its presidential alumni. President Barack Obama received his B.A. in 1983 at Columbia and joins Theodore Roosevelt and Franklin Delano Roosevelt as Columbia alumni who would later become President of the United States. The 34th President of the United States, Dwight Eisenhower, would later become President of Columbia University.
