Fishing at the Harlem Meer.Practicing catch and release at the Harlem Meer.

There are few rules for fishing in Central Park but they are important to maintaining the ecological balance of the Park’s bodies of water. Barbed hooks and lead weights are not permissible. Fishers are expected to not leave line behind and of course they must practice catch and release. The unwritten rule is to have fun and enjoy fishing in Central Park.
