Hispanic Day Parade, Fifth Avenue

Hispanics in New York celebrated Hispanic Heritage with their own parade on October 9. It also has been called the Hispanic Columbus Day parade and is in its 47th year. Along the route, people waved flags from many Latin American countries, including Argentina, Guatemala and Mexico. Some Hispanics celebrate Columbus Day on October 10 but many others celebrate Día de la Raza on October 12.
